SUMMARY OF THE ROLE
This is a Sr. Manager, Project Controls position that will work to ensure the implementation of comprehensive project controls on mega LNG EPC projects, including management of cost, schedule, scope change, and risks. The typical project cost exceeds several billion dollars and spans over five years.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Implement and manage effective project controls, including budget, cost, schedule, and progress tracking and forecasting.
  • Utilize Power BI to create project status dashboards and interactive visual reports.
  • Recognize project requirements in the context of BI and create data models to transform raw data into relevant KPIs (preferred)
  • Supports the change management process ensuring contractual requirements, cost and schedule are adhered to.
  • Prepare project status reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
  • Identify and communicate issues that have the potential to materially affect overall project performance.
  • Prepares and analyzes Progress/Earned Value reports.
  • Perform site visits to support validation of construction progress.
  • Review and analyze contractors' monthly invoices for accuracy.
  • Support Finance department for the development of Cash Flow curves.
  • Review EPC Contractor level 3 schedules, identify negative trends, and perform critical path and variance analysis.
  • Facilitate project risk management workshop and maintain risk register and ensure implementation of mitigation action.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, Accounting, Business Management or Finance.
  • 15+ years of relevant experience in Major Oil/Gas/power/LNG projects
  • Earned value management, scheduling, cost management and schedule trending, cost, dashboard development and reporting.
  • Extensive knowledge of project management and project controls principles and concepts.
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving capabilities with ability to manage a broad spectrum of business activities and issues under stressful conditions.
  • Knowledge of Engineering and Construction techniques and their cost impacts.
  • Strong analytical skills, and advanced skills with spreadsheets, charts, and presentations.
  • Advanced user of MS Excel and Power BI.
  • Good understating of MS PowerPoint and Word
  • Effective communication skills, oral and written, with fluency in English.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 5+ years in the LNG industry
  • Understanding of computer languages and coding such as Python, SQL, data warehouse, and Power BI scripts highly preferred
Work Environment
This position operates in a professional office environment with occasional work within or outside of a complex construction environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers/fax, filing cabinets, etc. This is primarily a sedentary role; however, the incumbent must be able to stand and/or sit continuously to perform all essential job functions for a full shift.

* Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. as required in order to lift files, boxes and office equipment as necessary.

* The incumbent is required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
* Ability to move throughout all areas of each office/site location and facilities.
