About the Role: We are looking for a Manufacturing Leader to join our Plant Operations Team within Gore Performance Solutions. This role is responsible for directly leading a manufacturing team that includes Shift Leaders, Production Leader, Production Operators, and other support personnel. Scope of the role also includes partnering with cross functional teams such as Business, Technical, and Quality teams as needed to maintain a strong calibration to customer needs and reliable processes. This is a challenging opportunity where one will provide people leadership, vision, and direction to a team of more than 50 associates, across multiple shifts in a fast-paced, quality driven organization that is cross functionally and cross regionally collaborative.

This role will be located at our facility in Elkton, Maryland.

Pay and Benefits:



  • $120,000 - $168,000 per year
  • Roles above $150k are eligible for the variable pay program each fiscal year, based on defined business performance metrics.

Responsibilities:



  • Develop long-term resourcing plans related to staffing, equipment, and other resources to effectively maintain reliable supply
  • Develop creative solutions and scenarios with a sense of urgency to reconcile supply and demand to deliver business outcomes
  • Forecast and manage investments to achieve objectives for areas of responsibility
  • Establish and promote a continuous improvement environment within the team and ensure the application of lean principles
  • Establish clear expectations of equitable and inclusive behaviors from Associates and act immediately to appropriately address negatively impactful or unfair behavior
  • Drive performance management, leadership development, and compensation processes for the manufacturing team
  • Implement key manufacturing initiatives, metrics, and goals for the team that are in alignment with business priorities
  • Cultivate strong partnerships with all manufacturing support functions, including engineering, planning, quality assurance, environmental health & safety, regulatory, etc
  • Maintain compliance with quality system requirements and training expectations for self and team
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required within the scope of position and promote a culture of zero injury while ensuring compliance to all Environmental, Health and Safety requirements

Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of 5 years directly leading people, materials, and flow of information in a manufacturing environment; or a minimum of 7 years directly leading people, materials, and flow of information in a manufacturing environment in lieu of a degree
  • Experience establishing metrics and reviews that support an environment where Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S) and efficient work practices are integral to the business
  • Experience establishing expectations, fairly and directly addressing performance issues, and holding others accountable
  • Experience achieving tangible business results by identifying and utilizing data driven systems, problem solving, and analytical tools
  • Experience managing capacity and staffing plans to reliably meet manufacturing schedules and inventory targets
  • Experience working within a rigorous quality system, with emphasis in creating, reviewing, and ensuring procedural compliance
  • Demonstrated experience partnering and influencing cross functionally to achieve business results most efficiently
  • Direct knowledge and experience coaching lean principles in support of continuous improvement
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to lead positively through change
  • Demonstrated ability to develop successful leaders and foster a positive, inclusive, engaging, and team-based environment
  • Ability to travel up to 5%



Desired Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering or supply chain
  • Experience working in an ISO9001/IATF16949 or regulated manufacturing environment
  • Experience using SAP
