JOB SUMMARY

The Bid Coordinator is responsible for the coordination, preparation and submission of bid proposals for the Civil division.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS



  • A working knowledge of underground utility construction principals, such as technology, equipment, methods, craft agreements, jurisdiction, negotiations, engineering, estimating, schedules and safety, at a level normally acquired through two years of experience as a Bid Coordinator, Project Coordinator, or related administrative roles in a construction setting; and,



  • High school diploma or equivalent.




KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES



  • Requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and complete projects on schedule.



  • Advanced knowledge and skills in the use of various Microsoft Office.



  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.



  • Must maintain confidentiality and contribute to a team-oriented work environment.



  • Must have a valid driver's license.





JOB RESPONSIBILITIES





  • Acts as the initial client contact to assess scope of work and resources required to successfully complete project proposal.



  • Coordinates the preparation and submission of proposals and bids to meet client specifications and deadlines.



  • Responsible for coordinating with various departments to gather accurate information for bid preparation and execution.



  • Create new documents as needed to support business development activities.



  • Maintains bid calendar and updates bid status.



  • Responsible for job set up entries, maintain directory of industry diverse contractors, support the execution of subcontract agreements, maintain subcontractor certificates of insurance.



  • Support Civil team with obtaining project specific bonding, request project additional insurances and business licenses.



  • Acts as liaison between vendors and obtains project specific material quotes.



  • Performs other tasks and special projects as assigned.




COMPENSATION & BENEFITS


  • Wage range: $22 - $32 hourly.
  • Medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401k with company match.
  • Vacation and sick leave.


ADDITIONAL INFORMATION


  • Background check, credit check, MVR and drug screen may be required (will vary by position).
