Job Description Summary

As a Senior Programmer Analyst, you will leverage and support an extensive suite of business system platforms and incorporate new platforms along the way to ensure the viability and efficiency of the systems and the processes they support will continue to propel the company forward.

The Senior Programmer Analyst position personifies a technology-first ideology and strives to deliver a frictionless experience for internal and external customers. By acting as a lead technology liaison to business groups, analyzing complex business requirements as well as designing, developing, implementing and supporting solutions related to business processes with an Agile mindset, the Senior Programmer Analyst's role is to provide synergy between users and the utility of banking systems on which they rely.

Key Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities



  • Develops complex solutions in the Jack Henry product suite including Symitar Power On, SymXChange, Enterprise Workflow, Synergy, Synapsys and automated job schedulers, supplementing with other industry standard programming languages as required.
  • Serves as project lead for core ecosystem led initiatives. Functions as the technical and business analyst leading the implementation of new business processes and enhancement using the Agile framework.
  • Analyzes business requirements, identifies and recommends technology solutions that meet the need of the business unit and company strategic objectives, translating them into technical specifications for solution delivery.
  • Conducts full regression analysis and QA of code as required, including false positive/false negative, and provides documentation for User Acceptance Testing.
  • Creates and maintains relevant process procedural documentation and process flow logic diagrams.
  • Administers and maintains core banking application suite and assists with daily operations to support business needs, providing 24x7 support for critical applications.
  • Adheres to the goals and standards set forth by the Service Level Agreements, company policies and regulations and performs additional duties as required.


Job Requirements, Competencies, and Skills



  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of demonstrated hands-on systems analysis / business requirements experience supporting enterprise level systems.
  • Minimum of five years of Symitar Power On development experience.
  • Complex problem solving, critical thinking, able to anticipate the implications and consequences of situations and take appropriate action to be prepared for possible contingencies; comes up with solutions and responses beyond that which is a habit or 'always done this way'.
  • Clearly conveys information and ideas; actively listens and clarifies information as needed; shares critical information with peers and management.

Environmental / Physical / Mental Requirements



  • Stable internet connection with speeds high enough for video conferencing and screen sharing
  • Smartphone with current iOS/Android OS
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a workstation and working on a computer
  • Ability to communicate with coworkers and customers via email, chat, teleconference, and/or phone

Salary Range: $80,000 to $90,000 annually. Individual salary will vary based on skills and experience. Discretionary incentive compensation may be available based on company and individual performance.

Education
Bachelors of Information Technology (preferred)
High School (required)
Experience
5 years: High school diploma or GED is required; Bachelor's degree in an Information Technology or related discipline is preferred. Minimum of five (5) years of demonstrated hands-on systems analysis / business requirements experience supporting enterprise level systems. Minimum of five (5) years of Symitar Power On development experience. (required)
