Position Description
Santee Cooper seeks an experienced and dynamic General Manager of Technology Services to provide strategic vision, leadership, and oversight for our organization's technology functions. This critical role ensures the seamless integration of Information Technology (IT), operational technology (OT), communications technology, cybersecurity, and governance to support our mission of delivering reliable and affordable electricity and water to customers. This General Manager position reports directly to the Chief Financial & Administration Officer and, as a member of the senior leadership team, plays a transformative leadership role aligning information and technology strategy with organizational objectives, driving innovation, and ensuring the resilience and security of information and technology systems.
Primary Responsibilities
* Develop and communicate information technology strategies that align with Santee Cooper's long-term business objectives, regulatory requirements, and commitment to public service. * Develop and manage the technology budget, ensuring resource allocation aligns with strategic priorities. * Lead vendor negotiations and technology investments, maximizing value and realized benefits. * Lead the development of corporate policy and organizational structure to implement corporate wide, risk-based cybersecurity program to ensure appropriate levels of protection across Information Technology and Operational Technology systems. * Protect Santee Cooper against cybersecurity compromises that could lead to mis operation or instability of operating systems, or loss of sensitive information. Responsible for compliance with NERC Critical Infrastructure Protection cybersecurity standards. * Select and implement suitable technology to streamline all internal operations and help optimize their strategic benefits * Oversee the technological infrastructure in the organization to ensure optimal performance * Provide strong project management oversight to ensure technology projects are completed efficiently and meet desired results. * Remain current on and appropriately react to changes or advancements in technology that may impact the utility industry Identify and mitigate risks related to technology, cybersecurity, and operational continuity. * Promote a culture of safety, compliance, and security across all technology operations.

Position Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, business administration, or a closely related field required. * A minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in technology leadership, including a strong desire that candidates offer leadership experience in the utility sector. It is desired that candidates offer electric utility experience, but IT and technology leadership experience in another utility sector or non-utility business that positioned the candidate to face similar challenges and scope are invited to apply. * A minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership capacity, with a demonstrated ability to make strategic decisions and drive organizational change. * Proven experience in leading large, complex teams and delivering transformative technology initiatives. * Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to develop effective teams, achieve results through others, foster collaborative relationships, and maintain a professional leadership presence.
Preferred Qualifications * A master's degree in information technology, engineering, business administration, or a related field. * Familiarity with the intricacies of NERC CIP compliance, cloud computing, and emerging cybersecurity trends in the electric utility space.
