The Opportunity: Shutterstock is a growing and profitable tech company headquartered in New York City that powers visual creativity around the world. We are currently seeking a highly driven and results-oriented professional to join Shutterstock's Financial Planning & Analysis team as a Manager, FP&A. The right individual will be a key contributor to the FP&A team in developing accurate forecasts, reporting on business metrics and driving strategic business decisions for teams within the Business Solutions of Shutterstock. The day to day:
Lead and execute the monthly/quarterly revenue forecasting process and annual budgeting for our Business Solutions division including content revenue businesses of Studios, Editorial, and Enterprise customers. Prepare and present detailed financial reports, dashboards, and presentations to senior management and departmental heads. Track revenue pacing relative to the financial plan. Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks, providing actionable insights to support business decisions. Ensure the accuracy and completeness of general ledger accounts and reconciliations. Participate in both internal and external audit processes, providing necessary documentation and support. Review and approve journal entries, including accruals and adjustments. Collaborate closely with various departments (e.g., Sales, Marketing, Operations, Product) to understand their financial needs, provide financial guidance, and support their strategic initiatives. Partner with HR & Sales to own and actively manage the Sales function headcount. Partner with Finance Operations including revenue operations, accounting, AP and AR/Cash collections to bridge actual results to budget. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular updates on financial health. Undertake special projects and ad-hoc analysis as required to support strategic initiatives, M&A activities, or operational improvements. Assist in evaluating new business opportunities, investments, and cost-saving initiatives. Contribute to the overall professional development of the finance team.
What you'll bring to the role:
5+ years' relevant experience in finance, management consulting, accounting or investment banking BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, or a quantitative field Experience in owning and managing operating expense, headcount, and financial modeling Enthusiasm for complex problem solving utilizing financial modeling and analysis Advanced Excel skills and experience working with data visualization tools Business acumen and knowledge of functional elements which are important for business profitability in order to influence, drive and positively impact business results A strong problem solver and communicator who can work cross-functionally and explain complex concepts to non-financial audiences Self-starter who is intellectually curious and not afraid to seek out projects independently High standard for integrity required for exposure to confidential company performance data and legal contracts.
