Position Summary: Reporting to the Clinical Applications Training Manager, the Sr. Advisor, Clinical Applications Training functions as an expert EHR consultant, trainer, educator, and evaluator responsible for supporting and training end users on clinical systems functionality and workflows, ensuring optimal use of clinical technology to achieve system-wide strategic priorities. The Sr. Advisor, Clinical Applications Training applies concepts of adult learning principles, generational learning differences, and learning modalities (auditory, visual, and kinesthetic) to achieve desired outcomes. The Sr. Advisor Clinical Applications Training works closely with IT, Clinical Operations & Leadership team, and Quality to achieve key responsibilities. To be successful in this position you will need to be able to take complex information and communicate it clearly, concisely, and accurately. You will juggle a variety of projects, from preparing training videos, creating interactive training guides, writing end-user documentation, and providing web based or onsite face to face training. You should be very comfortable with eLearning and remote training delivery tools & techniques. The Sr. Advisor, Clinical Applications Training is responsible for creating the training curriculum, training materials, and course development for providing training for a comprehensive suite of Health Care applications. This role requires the ability to collaborate effectively and to work independently with minimum supervision, while juggling multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. The Sr. Advisor, is expected to motivate, be optimistic and encouraging of the EHR system and project, while upholding the organizations mission and core values. Supervision Exercised:
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: eClinicalWorks, CMP and Market Prominence
- Assess training needs and opportunities for internal and/or external end users
- Develop training curricula and calendars which include topic outlines, class plans, handouts, goals for the training, etc. for specific or general audiences which may be provided both within and outside of the organization.
- Conduct regularly scheduled live new hire training sessions and additional changes when new workflows are developed
- Conduct and facilitate end user trainings with Subject Matter Expert's as additional support for staff arise
- Develop course training materials containing specific workflows
- Collaborate with managers and supervisors for developing remedial training plan for staff
- Develop post training evaluation mechanism for insuring end user understanding. Analyze evaluation data and apply feedback into future lesson planning and content delivery.
- Develop scripts and lesson plans specific to the end-user training
- Interacting as necessary with vendor training personnel
- Escalating training issues to the IT support team
- Participate in prioritizing and communicating changes requested for the different clinical applications supported by the training team
- Work with EHR Implementation Team to coordinate software updates and changes for users and plan appropriate training
- Assist in analyzing new functionality in subsequent EHR releases to determine usability
- Assist in developing e-learning modules and other training tools
- Facilitates training of new workflows and clinical transformation benefits Key role in development of training plan for Care Management Platform
- Provide critical input into workflow development and related processes for system
- Participate in usability testing of Case Management Platform system workflows
- Conduct end user training on new Case Management Platform
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert workforce
- Partner with super user group as SME's for post go-live end user training and support
- Develop distance-learning modules for learning management system (LMS)
- Facilitating knowledge transfer to other training team members
- Maintain onboarding schedule and invitations for newly hired staff
- Work closely with Managers to assure training needs for external partners are being met
- Ability to deliver one-on-one training and in a group or classroom setting.

Required Education:
- Associate degree or equivalent experience
- Equivalent experience working with EHR systems may substitute for degree requirement.
Desired Education:
- Bachelor's Degree with background in EHR systems preferred.
- Principal Trainer certifications from eCW systems preferred.
Required Experience:
- 3-5 years' experience in a healthcare environment required
Desired Experience:
- Prior classroom training experience strongly preferred.

- Strong training, development and delivery background including instructor-led classroom training, virtual training and self-paced tutorials
- Knowledge and understanding of adult learning styles.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, both interpersonally and on a technical level.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technology and applications.
- Intermediate experience with MS Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Basic technical troubleshooting skills.
