Job Title

Huntsman is seeking a Plant Controller supporting the Performance Products Division located in Conroe, Texas. This position will report to the Regional Senior Controller.

Job Scope

As the Plant Controller, you will:

  • Deliver Management Reporting and Variance Analysis in a timely manner to stakeholders, including the Plant Manager and Sr. Regional Controller.
  • Review that Cost of Sales, Manufacturing Costs, Working Capital, and Fixed Assets are accurately reported in accordance with US GAAP. Additionally, the Controller will review all plant tolls and exchanges, verifying and confirming the reasonableness of financial records.
  • Provide updates on Conroe's financial results and explanations of variances for both the P&L statement and Balance Sheet to the Sr. Regional Controller, and the Plant Manager during and throughout the monthly close.
  • Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes for the site.
  • Monitor and evaluate internal controls, and work with both internal and external auditors to provide all necessary information for annual financial audits.
  • Ensure SOX compliance, meeting all plant SOX requirements on time and in full.
  • Perform monthly financial close activities for the plant.
  • Review, analyze and approve capital projects.
  • Fulfill ad-hoc requests.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

The candidate must have an unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in the United States.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • 5+ years of Cost Accounting experience
  • Hands-on experience with SAP
  • Proficient with Internet, Email, Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft programs

Skills and knowledge

  • Passion for achieving valuable results
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Chemical industry experience is a plus
