Structural Design Engineer

Acara Solutions is seeking a Structural Design Engineer for our client in Grapeland, TX! In this role, you will be responsible for designing open web steel joists and ensuring that all products meet the design requirements for a wide range of projects.

Here's what you'll do:

• Perform design work in accordance with industry standards and company manufacturing processes.
• Review contract documents, including structural drawings, architectural drawings, and project specifications.
• Provide direction and technical support to detailers, shop orders, and production teammates during project design and development.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external customers, including other design professionals.
• Promote company products to specifiers and at conventions.
• Assist junior engineers and interns.
• Safety is the most important aspect of all positions; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards always.

Position Type: Direct Placement

Salary: Up to $110K/yr. **Depending on experience

Required Skills / Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (ABET accredited).
• F.E. Certification.
• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Structural Engineer.

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:

• P.E. Licensure.
