Position Overview:

Henry Ford Health Jackson is seeking a dedicated and skilled full-time Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Vascular Surgery team. This role involves providing comprehensive care to patients undergoing vascular surgical procedures in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider (APP), with a strong background in vascular or cardiovascular medicine preferred. We are currently not accepting applications from new graduates. A vascular surgery background or relevant clinical experience is highly desired, along with excellent clinical judgment, strong communication skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

Must be able to see patients 18 ages and older.

Procedures - Vein Sclerotherapy

Schedule - Full-Time; 8-hours. Weekday Coverage, Monday - Friday. Majority of the time is spent in the Outpatient clinic setting.

Weekend requirement - No Weekends.

Call requirement - No.

GENERAL SUMMARY: The Specialty/Invasive Nurse Practitioner (NP) will work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. The Specialty/Invasive NP will be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, education, consultation, and care coordination as a first line provider to patients and their families. Provides inpatient and/or outpatient medical care. Works in collaboration with attending physicians, advanced practice providers, consultants, house officers, nurses, and other members of the medical care team to ensure that patient outcomes are achieved safely and efficiently. Specific procedures as per credentialing as indicated by training and experience. Works in one of the following departments: Cardiovascular Medicine, Emergency Medicine, ICU, Interventional Radiology, Nephrology, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Oncology, Orthopedics, Otolaryngology, Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, Surgery, Urgent Care, Urology. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Master's degree in nursing. CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: Current certification as a Certified Nurse Practitioner. Current State license as a Registered Nurse. Current BLS. Current ACLS/ATLS/PALS provider status as required by department.

Qualifications:

* NP - Completion of a Nurse Practitioner training program accredited by the Commission on the Collegiate of Nursing Education (CCNE) or the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC)

* PA - Completion of a Physician Assistant training program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA)

* NP - Certification by a certification body recognized by the State of Michigan

* PA - Certification by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)

Licensure and Certification

* Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of Michigan

* National certification as an NP or PA (e.g., ANCC, AANP, NCCPA)

* Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.

* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

* DEA/CSL, required through credentialing.

* DEA - NPs do not have controlled substance licenses, only PAs. When NPs apply, they will enter MI license number instead of controlled substance license since they won't have a CSL.

Experience

* 2 years of APP experience preferred with vascular/cardiovascular medicine experience preferred.

* Vascular background or experience preferred.

* EPIC Experience, preferred.

* Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
