Duties and Responsibilities |
Loyola University Medical Center and Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine invite applications for an exceptional leader to serve as Chief of the Division of Cardiology. This is an outstanding opportunity for a nationally recognized leader with a distinguished record of academic achievement, clinical excellence, and leadership experience.
We are seeking a visionary leader to advance a dynamic division committed to delivering outstanding patient care, educating future leaders in cardiovascular medicine, and conducting impactful research. The successful candidate will shape the future of cardiovascular care and scholarship in alignment with the mission and values of Loyola Medicine and the Department of Medicine.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for the Division of Cardiology, including clinical services, education, research, and faculty development.
* In this role, the division chief will establish a collaborative connection with the Stritch School of Medicine Cardiovascular Research Institute.
* Recruit, retain, and mentor exceptional faculty and trainees.
* Promote excellence in patient care and support innovative models for improving quality and outcomes.
* Drive academic productivity through the support and expansion of clinical, translational, and basic science research programs.
* Collaborate with institutional leaders to align divisional goals with departmental, school, and health system priorities. |
Qualifications |
* A medical degree and board certification in specialty are required.
* Eligibility for medical licensure in the State of Illinois.
* Academic rank of Associate Professor or Professor.
* Demonstrated success in leadership roles within an academic medical center.
* A record of excellence in clinical care, education, and/or research.
* A strong background in funded research is preferred but not required.
This is a full-time faculty position with a competitive salary, commensurate with experience and academic accomplishments.

The Cardiology Division is renowned for its high-quality care, robust clinical volume, and multidisciplinary expertise in all aspects of cardiovascular disease. The division maintains a strong collaborative relationship with the Edward Hines, Jr. VA Hospital, offering joint faculty appointments, shared research initiatives, and integrated clinical and educational programs.

Gottlieb Memorial Hospital,

This opportunity offers a competitive compensation and benefits package including:
- Competitive starting compensation between $159,000 - $985,945
- Salary Based on Academic Rank and Experience
