GENERAL SUMMARY: The ER Tech Assistant supports patient care in the emergency department under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse or Provider. This role provides hands-on assistance with clinical and non-clinical tasks, ensuring timely, safe, and compassionate care for patients of all acuity levels. Responsibilities are performed within the scope of practice and hospital protocols. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: High School diploma or GED equivalent required. BCLS certification required. Previous Emergency Department Technician, Medical Assistant experience preferred. CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: One of the following certifications/programs required: B-EMT, Graduate from a formal Medical Assistant program, Completion of a formal nursing education program, Completion of a formal medical doctor education program OR One (1) year of applicable Emergency Room Technical experience in lieu of above completed certification/program. (Must complete applicable certification/program within 12 months of hire). Successful completion of a 180-day orientation period required.
