We are looking for a Director, Billing Enrollment and Activation to join Element Fleet Management. As the largest pure-play fleet manager in the world, we provide unmatched products and services and solutions to our clients.

As the Director, Billing Enrollment and Activation, you will be responsible for leading a high performing team of 4 direct reports (mix of people leaders and individual contributors) that processes the US/CA enterprise volume of cases for client billing setup and unit service enrollment and activation, with focus on auditing, efficiency and maintaining a high degree of accuracy. The Director will drive operational excellence through data analytics, reporting, process automation, incident management, quality controls, and continuous improvement. This role will oversee key performance indicators (KPIs), root cause analysis (RCA), governance, and process design while fostering a culture of innovation and service. This role is critical for ensuring seamless customer onboarding, accurate billing, and timely activation of client fleet units.

A Day in the Life

Strategic Leadership & Governance:

  • Develop and implement strategies to streamline and scale billing enrollment and activation processes.
  • Collaborate with Commercial, FPS, Product teams, Finance and IT to align operational workflows with business goals.
  • Drive automation, system enhancements and the Billing Modernization Project design to improve accuracy, efficiency and client satisfaction.

Operations Oversight:

  • Define and monitor KPIs to measure the effectiveness of processes and service delivery.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of financial dashboards, reports, and data models to support business decision-making.
  • Implement and mature quality auditing and process monitoring to drive accuracy.
  • Review, optimize, and monitor work identification, forecasting, work planning, prioritization, and scheduling practices.

Incident Management & Root Cause Analysis:

  • Lead the incident management framework, ensuring timely resolution and preventive measures.
  • Drive root cause analysis (RCA) to identify and address systemic issues, reducing recurring problems.
  • Establish clear escalation paths and reporting structures for issue resolution.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, business practices, client contracts, and relevant regulations.
  • Identify and mitigate operational risks related to billing enrollment and activation.

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performance team, fostering growth and expertise in processing, operational excellence, and quality control.
  • Provide coaching and training opportunities to build technical, analytical, leadership, and other capabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field preferred
  • 8+ years of relevant Finance and/or Operations leadership experience
  • Track record of leading successful process improvement and productivity programs resulting in cost savings and executional excellence
  • Proven experience in influence-based roles, leading teams and being a change agent
  • Proven ability to set and manage to a system of KPIs to improve performance and efficiency

The hiring base salary range for this position is $124,600 to $171,400 annually. Actual compensation within this range will be dependent upon the individual's knowledge, skills, experience, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data. Please note that the disclosed salary range is solely for candidates hired to perform work within this geographic location. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location.
