Position Purpose |
The Center for Technology and Behavioral Health (
CTBH) at Dartmouth is currently seeking a Part-Time (50%
FTE) Research Coordinator (RC) to join our team investigating how cannabis marketing influences consumer behavior. The RC will work closely with Dr. Jacob Borodovsky to manage a custom-built, simulated online cannabis store used in this experimental study.
The RC will help build and maintain the store using a point-and-click interface in WordPress and WooCommerce. This task requires meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills to ensure that cannabis product stimuli are consistently labeled, well-organized, and properly configured. The RC will also manage critical aspects of the project's data infrastructure, including running Python scripts, processing
JSON-formatted data, maintaining structured Excel codebooks, and performing routine quality control on participant records. |

Required Qualifications - Skills, Knowledge and Abilities |
- Bachelor's degree in a field related to data science, computer science, psychology, public health, or a related social or behavioral science.
- Two to three years of experience in social/behavioral science research.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and as a team member.
- Proficiency in Python, including use of pandas, numpy, (or other advanced data management and analysis software such as SAS, Stata, R, etc) and JSON-formatted data for data wrangling.
- Experience managing structured datasets and maintaining clean, well-documented codebooks.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work within structured digital systems with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to document workflows clearly and follow reproducible data processing procedures.

Preferred Qualifications |
- Masters Degree in a field related to data science, computer science, psychology, public health, or a related social or behavioral science.
- Three to five years of experience in social/behavioral science research.
- Familiarity with the WordPress admin interface and WooCommerce product management (or willingness to learn).
- Experience with WordPress plugins such as WPForms or WP-All-Import.
- Familiarity with Qualtrics survey design or administration.
- Exposure to REST APIs or web-based data systems.

* Support survey administration using WPForms and Qualtrics.
* Link survey data to behavioral data and perform routine data QA (e.g., missing data, duplicate IPs, malformed entries).
* Monitor participant flow and experimental group assignment balance during recruitment.
* Collaborate professionally with the study PI, developers, and research assistants to troubleshoot technical issues and maintain data integrity across systems. |
