About the Job

Job Summary

This position will assist with the day-to-day operations of Gopher Athletics Administration by assisting Sr. Staff, Athletics Human Resources and the Athletics Business Office. We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Coordinator to support our team with day-to-day administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, efficient, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This role is essential in ensuring smooth office operations and supporting staff and leadership as needed.

  • Schedule and coordinate Athletics staff and coach meetings.
  • Assist with expense reports for Athletic Director and Senior Staff.
  • Submit criminal background checks in HireRight for all student athletes.
  • Order office supplies and maintain inventory.
  • Prepare reports, memos, and other documents as needed.
  • Greet and assist visitors in a professional manner.
  • Assist with daily mail, update phone directories, update organizational charts and other administrative tasks.
  • Plan and execute special events for the Athletic Director/Admin Office.
  • Assist with daily operations/management of Athletic Director/Admin Office.
  • Assist with suite stewardship at Athletics events
  • Assist with football bowl game preparation and select other Big Ten, NCAA championship events, and special events.
  • Assist with tracking employee training
  • Manage Athletic Director's calendar
  • Plan and coordinate staff engagement events

  • Assist with Human Resources tasks such as drafting job offer letters, submitting background checks, sending communication to new hires and current employees, utilizing PeopleSoft for HR related data entry, labeling and filing documents in Perceptive Content, and completing other HR related projects.
  • Assist Athletics business office with various tasks and projects.
  • Assist in advancing the department's strategic plan and commitment to: Being Accurate, Being Accountable, Being Empathetic, Being Inclusive, and Being Innovative.

  • Complete projects as assigned
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Ability to work on-site full-time with some occasional nights and weekends
  • Experience in an administrative role supporting a college Athletic Director or an Athletics senior leader
  • Experience working with sensitive and confidential information
  • Experience working at college sporting events

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous customer service experience

Pay and Benefits

Pay : $21.69 hourly

Time Appointment Category: 75%-100% Appointment (If job description above does not specify appointment or expected weekly hours, assume a 100% appointment.)
