Summary:

Under direction of the designated manager, leads a communications team that provides high-quality instructional documentation and eLearning primarily targeted at internal audiences. Guided by an understanding of business priorities and documentation best practices, estimates development and approval timelines and sets delivery expectations. Uses functional expertise and coaching to help team members produce deliverables with excellent content organization, visual design, writing, and interactivity, where applicable. Also edits and individually creates select deliverables.

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Manages the execution of the annual strategy for business communications, that may include the following deliverables: Enablement content, organizational announcements, work instructions, job aids, business rules, eLearning modules, and team member communications posted on the intranet

    • Editor of internal e-newsletter

    • Develops messaging for senior leadership, internal and external communications as assigned

    • Works closely with business owners to understand documentation requirements

    • Updates status of documentation in tracking system, and manages deliverable timelines against plan

    • Ensures materials adhere to documentation standards and knowledge management procedures

    • Ensures quality of materials and edits or produces materials individually as needed

    • Helps team leverage software used in material development, such as Microsoft Word, Visio, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Excel, etc.

    • Partners with Marketing at the business unit level to leverage existing collateral, such as stock images, logos and branded materials that can be repurposed internally.

    • Edits materials produced directly by business unit departments

    • Stays abreast of business process changes and identifies impact to existing documentation and initiates revision cycles when needed

    • Oversees the management of email inbox and/or software where internal customer requests for documentation are made

    • Oversees monthly reporting to leadership and others on communications

    • Keeps abreast of healthcare trends and communications technologies

    • Builds rapport with internal stakeholders

    • Performs related duties as assigned

    Required Skills and Qualifications:

    • Requires strong knowledge of communications and general knowledge of fields such as marketing, pharmacy operations, sales, business administration or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four-year Bachelor's Degree program; BA or BS with a concentration in Communications, Education, Writing, Journalism or Marketing preferred

    • Five-plus years of progressive experience in communications, instructional design or related field

    • Superior writing and oral communications skills

    • Superior organizational skills; attention to detail

    • Strong creativity and strategic thinking

    • Excellent interpersonal and professional skills

    • Working knowledge of specialty pharmacy business a plus

    • Working knowledge of computers necessary to operate effectively with company systems and programs

    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Visio, Articulate and other authoring tools, and Adobe Creative Suite required

    • Working knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint a plus

    *This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale. Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington/New York/Hawaii/Vermont/Minnesota/Massachusetts/Illinois State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
