Job Description:

Nursing Assistant II: Women's Health, Inpatient Oncology, Med-Surge Unit.

Unit Overview:

5B is a 22-bed medical/surgical unit. This unit specializes in women's care, plastic surgery, general surgery, oncology, gynecology and palliative/hospice care patients. 5B cares for patients receiving chemotherapy.

Shift: PRN, 3rd Shift

Job Description:

Under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) or other licensed care team member, the Nursing Assistant/ Patient Care Tech (PCT/HUC) provides direct patient care and related support by performing selected nursing procedures and routine duties to assist medical and nursing personnel in the examination, treatment, and care of patients.

Minimum Education, Experience, Training, and Licensures Required:

* High School Diploma or equivalent

* Current Kentucky Nurse Aide Certification (SRNA, CNA) required or successful completion of first year of a Nursing program and validation of a clinical rotation. (Must provide a letter from school verifying completion of first year clinicals.)

* Basic Life Support (must be obtained within three months of hire)
