Join our team and help us make a positive difference to the University as Security Analyst with the Identity & Access Management (IAM) team. The Identity and Access Management department seeks a Security Analyst to assist senior IAM security analysts with the onboarding and integrations of applications, systems, and resources into the University of Minnesota's access management tool.

Job Duties:

  • Gather business and technical requirements from business, policy and security stakeholders
  • Perform regular operational maintenance request tickets for integrated applications in our access management tool.
  • Assist senior analysts with onboarding medium and large systems into a new IAM environment.
  • Create and manage user groups in the identity and access management system.
  • Working with the IAM team to resolve identity and access management problems.
  • Document IAM processes and procedures.
  • Participate in IAM on-call team rotation to address major incidents and outages.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, cybersecurity, information technology, or a related field and 2 years of relevant experience, or Masters degree.
  • Experience with database concepts and relational databases, such as SQL querying.
  • Experience with various types of access controls.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with identity and access management in a complex enterprise environment.
  • Knowledge of SSO.
  • Basic understanding of LDAP, AD, or Azure AD.
  • Experience in a compliance-heavy environment (e.g. PCI, HIPAA, FERPA).
  • Excellent communication; ability to tailor messages to the audience (whether technical or non-technical, individual contributor to executive).

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $78,743 annually; depending on education/qualifications/experience

Time Appointment Category: 75%-100% Appointment (If job description above does not specify appointment or expected weekly hours, assume a 100% appointment.)
