THE SALVATION ARMY NORTH AND CENTRAL ILLINOIS DIVISION Ray & Joan Kroc Corps Community Center JOB DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE: Groundskeeper or Grounds Maintenance Worker PEOPLE MANAGER: No FLSA STATUS: Non- Exempt PAY GRADE: 401 PAY RANGE: $16.60-19.44 WHO WE ARE At The Salvation Army, we are dedicated to "Doing the Most Good". We do this through programs designed to combat homelessness and hunger, provide safe spaces for kids after school and on the weekends, achieve and maintain sobriety, and give hope to the hopeless. The Salvation Army North and Central Illinois Division provides these services to people in need. JOB SUMMARY Ensure the grounds are well maintained and aesthetically pleasing. JOB LIMITATIONS
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT Work outdoors for extended periods of time often in various weather conditions requiring good stamina and endurance. Maintaining gardens and flower beds requires frequent bending, stretching and kneeling, which can be physically taxing. May be some heavy lifting must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
