About the role:
As a Maintenance & Project Planner you will provide project and maintenance planning, scheduling, and reporting support within the Work Management organization at the Columbia Fuels Fabrication Facility. You will report to the Manager of Work Management and be located at Columbia, SC. You will support this role 100% on site.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical leadership in planning and scheduling tasks for assigned project work and maintenance areas observing WM-008, Work Order Planning
Implement the deficiency tagging and repair program for assigned areas including prioritization of repairs, readiness of the repair, and scheduling of repair
Assure the availability of all resources to support project and maintenance tasks, including originating requests for equipment, workforce, parts, materials, and tooling
Maintain records of repair history, parts usage, labor hours, procedures, design changes using manual and computerized work order systems
Work with Fabrication & Installation and Maintenance teams to coordinate execution of assigned project or maintenance work
Coordinate contractor activities to support project work
Support the Work Management T-week planning process
Coordinate and gather information from stores, purchasing and cost accounting to provide summaries of labor, parts, and other incurred project and maintenance costs
Monitor these costs and make recommendations to the appropriate budget manager on how project or maintenance costs can be minimized
Provide knowledge in the functionality and operation of the site Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), Leading2Lean (L2L)
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree preferred
Must have 10+ years' experience in maintenance or project planning and scheduling
Must have a background in at least one of the maintenance crafts and a working knowledge in at least one other craft
Must develop plans that are flexible enough to cover unexpected contingencies
Be able to respond to the lack of available tools and materials
Communicate multiple needs to management, contractors, and vendors in both written and verbal form
Share knowledge and workload with peer maintenance and project planners to improve planning function
