        |  |  | Overview SCCI is currently seeking anInformation System Security Officer (ISSO)to join our team! The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Information System Security Manager (ISSM) in researching, developing, implementing, testing, and reviewing an organization's information security in order to protect information and prevent unauthorized access. This position informs users and enforces policy on security measures, explains potential threats, installs software, implements security measures, and monitors networks and systems. This is an onsite position, available for immediate hire and located in Dahlgren, VA.  Recognize and examine potential security violations to determine if the Information System (IS) security posture has been breached, assess the impact, preserve evidence, and take appropriate action to report the incident as required by regulationProvide end user Information Assurance (IA) support for all Operating Systems (OS), peripherals, and applications within the networkRecommend, schedule, and/or implement IA related repairs within the network environmentSupport, monitor, test and troubleshoot hardware and software IA problems pertaining to the network environmentPerform system auditsLead teams and/or support actions to quickly resolve or mitigate IA problems for the networkProvide input to SCCIs IA/Information Technology (IT) budgetSupport the installation of new or modified hardware, OS, and software applications ensuring integration with IA security requirementsImplement hardware, software, and personnel processes to ensure IA security for the network including boundary defense, incident detection and response, and key component functionMonitor and evaluate the effectiveness of IA security procedures and safeguards on the networkImplement vulnerability countermeasuresImplement and maintain security systems including, but not limited to intrusion detection systems and firewallsSchedule and perform regular and special case backups on all network systems
 
Essential Skills and Experience: 
 
     
 Must be a U.S. Citizenand have an ActiveSecret Security Clearance w/ SSBIHigh School DiplomaMinimum of six (6)years of experience in the field of ITPossess a DoD Directive8140IAM Level Irecognized certificationMust complete IAM Level III certification within 6 months of starting employment (CISSP or Associate, CISM, GSLC, or CCISO)Familiarity with NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171, DAAPM 2.1, DoD 5220.22-M (NISPOM) and DoD RMFAbility to multi-task and work effectively under pressureAbility to effectively communicate verbally and in writing across all organizational levelsStrong analytical skills and ability to assist other team members in problem solvingStrong team player, able to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment

 Bachelor's Degree (BS) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related degreeExperience with virtualized servers and environments, to include vSphere, Hyper-VExperience with Azure deployments, to include hybrid deployment modelsExperience with managing security settings via IntuneUse of scripting and/or automated tools to deploy security settings and toolsFamiliarity with Storage Area Network (SAN) administrationFamiliarity with Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) v3 frameworkTechnical writing or documentation experienceExperience with Linux Operating SystemsMCP, MCSA, MCSE certifications for Windows 10/11and/or Server 2016/2019ISO 9001:2015 experienceFamiliarity with Group PolicyFamiliarity with SCAP Scan ToolFamiliarity with STIGsFamiliarity with Networking (Cisco, Dell, Fortinet)
