Moog, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer in the Commercial Aircraft Group.

You will provide direct project/program level support to commercial aircraft products. You will manage on-site/global development and operational transfers of repair capability for Moog and Non-Moog products. This will include development of test equipment, software, tooling, and training of key Commercial Aftermarket Partnerships resources. In addition, you will oversee customer Partnership, Safety, Human Factors and Standardization programs. You will report to the Aftermarket Division IPT Lead in East Aurora, New York.

As Project Engineer, you'll also be responsible for:

  • Defining and developing with MOOG/Customer, complex repair work-scopes relative to cost and reliability of components under repair within the framework of customer contracts and regulatory requirements (FAA, EASA, CAAC, Etc.)

  • Concurrently manage multiple repair and standardization programs for complex programs

  • Provide engineering definition for standard repair processes to be compliant with Component Maintenance Manual (CMM) requirements

  • Provide necessary cost predictions, technical data and documentation for production disassembly, repair, assembly and test instructions.

  • Provide and meet detailed schedules and budgets to assure timely completion in support of business sector sales / revenue growth strategies.

  • Work within a team environment and utilize lean principles to incorporate world class repair processes into partner/customer repair shops.

  • Provides technical direction and support as needed for analysis of failed unit rejections, including review and approval (sometimes also initiation) of a Failure Analysis Report and in some instances, formal presentation of the report to the partner.

  • Interface with customers, vendors, and peers at customer/partner facilities.

Here are the qualifications you'll need to bring with you:

* Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or related degree with a minimum of three (3) years relevant technical experience; Masters of Science Degree in Engineering or related degree with a minimum of one (1) year relevant technical experience; Bachelor of Technology Degree in Engineering or related degree with a minimum of five (5) years relevant technical experience

* Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills

* Detailed working knowledge of hydraulic or mechanical actuation products or electronics (or related technologies), both top level and subassemblies

* Detailed working knowledge of hydraulic or mechanical actuation products or electronics (or related technologies) assembly and test areas, including extensive interfacing with technicians

* Proven experience coordinating and interfacing with customers and/or suppliers on complex projects or issues.

* General knowledge in areas of Root Cause / Corrective Action, LEAN, Project Planning, Product line transfer and Data Acquisition and Analysis

* Ability to work across multiple time zones resulting at times in extended working hours and the need for international travel.

Salary Range Transparency:

Buffalo, NY $80,000.00-$120,000.00 Annually

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
