Position Description:

Clinical Research Assistant II

Purpose

Under general supervision, assist in various administrative and data management aspects of clinical research studies.

Primary Functions

* Organize clinical program patient and study participant charts and files, and distribute to appropriate locations

* Collect required data from study coordinators and enter onto clinical research forms and into computerized databases and programs

* Perform transcription and scoring of cognitive testing responses

* Assist in clinical program and study procedure set-up and clean-up

* Under the direction of the study coordinator or principal investigator, screen patient visits in clinic and assist in enrolling them in research studies and clinical programs. Contact patients as required after initial contact to obtain additional information

* Provide general clerical support to investigators and complete any data projects requested by them

* Order and maintain log of stipends to be distributed to study participants

* Compile outreach packets, recruitment forms, and study materials.

Knowledge - Skills - Abilities

Knowledge of biology, chemistry, mathematics, documentation, and records management. Data utilization, complex problem solving, critical thinking, resource management, and writing skills.

Specifications

Appropriate experience may be substituted for education on an equivalent basis

Minimum Required Education: High school

Minimum Required Experience: 1 year

Preferred Education: Bachelor of Science
