Who we are looking for:

The Government Endorsement Technician is responsible for reviewing file discrepancies, remitting all FHA Up Front Mortgage Insurance Premiums (FMIP), funding VA fee payments, and processing Case Number Transfers and Cancellations after review of FHA guidelines and internal policies. This role will communicate as needed with branch personnel to obtain necessary documentation and/or corrections to cure discrepancies detected during audit.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure that all noted deficiencies are cured, the file can be insured prior to the first payment due date, and loan guaranty is obtained prior to the first payment date.
• Ensure data entry is accurate and complete to obtain Mortgage Insurance Certificate prior to the first mortgage payment due date
• Review applicable file documentation and enter accurate data into WebLGY to obtain Loan Guaranty Certificate for all VA loans.
• Perform accurate and thorough high-level review of VA loan documentation to detect deficiencies
• Complete Mortgage Record Change as required on a weekly basis
• Assists with audits and corrections when needed from team members
• Remit timely payments of FHA UFMIP and VA Funding Fee to avoid penalties and interest assessments by agency
• Process refunds or principal reductions as needed to comply with VA requirements.
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations related to mortgage lending.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What you'll need to be successful:

• 3+ years' experience in mortgage industry working FHA & VA loans
• Knowledge of FHA guidelines and requirements to obtain Mortgage Insurance Certificate
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Attention to detail
• Self-motivated team player
• Basic computer and mathematical skills
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
