Job Summary

Leads training and development programs and processes for employee skill enhancement impacting the entire employee development cycle, including orientation, performance management and all training and development classes. Manages Training Event Center, travel, meetings and other learning activities and events. Responsible for designing and conducting training programs. Monitor and report on the effectiveness of associate training. Key products and services include planning and implementation of all deliverables related to training and organizational effectiveness.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

  • Provides project and logistical support for training and meetings including all related communications with participants, managers, facilitators, SMEs, etc. all LOD training sessions and projects.
  • Oversees material printing and shipment for meetings and training, includes working with IT to secure laptops for participants.
  • Provides on-site program support as necessary (i.e. printing, classroom setup, assisting with requests during course, managing the venue setup/cleanup).
  • Provides Learning Management system expertise to all employees as well as utilizing system to support all training programs including report creation, automation as possible and producing needed materials for instructors and participants.
  • Handles day-to-day vendor management inclusive of logistical and training providers; manages with RFP process; and manages contracts and invoices.
  • Develops and maintains department SharePoint / external web pages, as well as the sites and applications used to share content with various communities, such as SharePoint, Teams, etc.
  • Manages and aggregates data relating to all training & organizational development activities.
  • Works with business stakeholders and customers to translate business requirements into defined training needs including conducting needs analysis and developing learning objectives, scope, audience, timing, delivery method and resource requirements to fulfill training needs within the budget and timeline requirements.
  • Applies instructional design and adult learning theory to manage the design, development, implementation and maintenance of assigned training programs which may include instructor led, virtual instructor led, and eLearning and blended learning programs.
  • Designs various before, during, and after learning components and works with HR partners, managers, and associates to ensure that knowledge and skills are transferred to the job.
  • Facilitates training programs, including live and virtual sessions.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age or older
  • Must pass pre-employment assessment(s)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Strong customer orientation.
  • Attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Typically requires a BS/BA in a related discipline.
  • 1-3 years' experience in business, specifically learning, organizational development or project management.
  • Experience with MS Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, SharePoint).
  • Experience working in a Learning Management or Performance Management System preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with adult learning principles and curriculum design to include classroom and blended solutions utilizing the ADDIE process.
  • Experience in Articulate or other eLearning software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Environmental Job Requirements

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 15% of the time.

  • Identifies key barriers/core problems and applies problem solving skills in order to create creative and interactive training solutions. Troubleshoots and resolves problems. Makes decisions under conditions of uncertainty, sometimes with incomplete information, that produce effective end results.
  • Independently performs assignments with instruction limited to the results expected. Determines and develops an approach to solutions. Receives technical guidance only on unusual or complex problems or issues.
  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
