What You'll Do

• Innovate & Design: Develop mechanical and electro-mechanical concepts for components, assemblies, tools, and products using Creo 9.
• Model-Based Definition (MBD): Leverage MBD methodologies to streamline transition from CAD to simulation and manufacturing.
• Standards & Specs: Prepare drawing packages to ASME and military standards; review layouts, schematics, and test plans for compliance and accuracy.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with systems engineers, manufacturing, quality, vendors, and customers to ensure designs meet contractual, producibility, and human-factors requirements.
• Tolerance Analysis & GD&T: Apply advanced GD&T skills and tolerance analysis to validate fits, finishes, and material selections.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify layout process defects and propose design enhancements for existing and new product lines.

What You'll Bring

• Experience: 9+ years in mechanical design/drafting with Pro-E/Creo; 5+ years of advanced design concept application.
• Education: Associate degree in engineering drafting/design or equivalent plus extensive hands-on experience.
• Expertise: Deep knowledge of military drawings, MIL-SPEC standards, production methods, and human factors.
• Skills: Proficient in 3D CAD modeling, file manipulation, and comprehensive technical consultation.
