This position is a multidisciplinary role that encompasses Sales, Technical Support and Coordination of sales activities to Customers of the Market Segment (s) assigned. Research and identification of sales/business opportunities that increase current customer wallet share and monitors new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products and services, to find new ways of reaching existing customer base or new markets. Provide technical support, assisting both customers and internal sales force in promoting features, functions and benefits of current products and service capabilities, including proposal preparation, purchase order closing and evaluating feasibility of potential business opportunities for the assigned Market Segment(s). Participate on the annual sales budget & Growth Playbook.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES |
Sales/Business Development Activities, to:
- Achieve specific sales goals with highest priority placed on orders entered and gross margin objectives.
- Directly engage with customers to lead Prolec-GE Waukesha, Inc. Components efforts to identify, cultivate, and drive sales opportunities from inception through order entry.
- Create, populate, & actively maintain an accurate & complete forward-looking funnel of sales opportunities.
- Lead efforts to coordinate key interactions between customers and Prolec-GE Waukesha, Inc. to drive deeper working relationships
- Act as the face of the Prolec-GE Waukesha, Inc. Components business by traveling alone or in conjunction with GE Grid Solutions sales force, including KAMS and Channel Partners, to visit in assigned market segments to conduct customer meetings
- A continuous work on approving actual & new products on product specs of the IOU, Rec Muni & OEMs.
- Establish and monitor selling strategy and KPIs for existing and future sales channel force, to achieve order objectives.
- Prepare and deliver reports on commercial performance, forecasts, and KPIs.
- Create, schedule, and deliver technical sales presentations to customers on new/existing product offerings.
- Regularly collect and provide direct customer feedback on price, lead-time, feature, function, and benefits of existing/new product offerings
- Collect competitive intelligence including competing firms, products, key personnel, discovery of competitive offerings, and determination of market price levels.
- Create proposal improvements and work together with Engineering and or Product Development to ensure product life & competitiveness.
- Perform competitive analysis and market feedback from won/lost opportunities.
- Assist in the coordination and implementation of marketing strategies, including Voice of Customer efforts for potential products/service offerings and enhancements.
- Attend Trade Shows, Seminars and other events in coordination with Marketing Department and other business units to promote Business activities, seek potential new customers and evaluate new markets.
- Participate doing Comercial development of the business cases & define product success metrics and measure performance post-launch. Use data-driven insights to inform iterations and improvements. Own backlog grooming and prioritize enhancements and bug fixes based on business value.
- Participate on the development of the GPB development
- Support with quotes of special & re-engineering
- Negotiate and manage commercial contracts and agreements with customers
Intercompany Support Activities:
- Participate in designated projects and facilitate communications whiles coordinating activities among business units to offer support to Intercompany Plants (WT, GT, MTY) and other PROLEC-GE companies.
- Encourage cooperation and the exchange of information between Components Division and transformer manufacturing plants (MTY, WT, GT).
Technical Support Activities:
- Support the Components business by providing Technical Support to Marketing, customers and/or channel partners, as needed.
- Counsel the internal support specialist team on technical aspects and/or products/service capabilities and proposal preparation.
- As required, execute established Components sales processes to create, validate and issue customer proposals (as needed).
- Support and assist in the production, translation and editing of marketing material which may include flyers, brochures, electronic marketing campaigns, sales presentations or web content.

Required Education / Experience
- 5+ years of successful experience in a progressively responsible sales role within the electrical/utility industry and successful demonstration of the Principal Duties and Responsibilities as presented above.
Preferred Education / Experience
- BS in related discipline (Engineering, Business, Marketing, etc.)
- 10+ years of successful experience in power systems and/or substation experience and successful demonstration of the Principal Duties and Responsibilities as presented above.

Key Working Relationships External contact with customer of the different market segments. Internal contact with personnel from various functional departments (including Finance, Operations, Engineering, Sales/Marketing, Purchasing, Field Service Managers/Planners, etc.). Also, contact with manufacturer's sales representatives, channel partners. Physical Demands Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, sit at desk, drive vehicle, fly in airplane as required Working Conditions Normal working conditions - small manufacturing facility with traditional office space. Frequent visits to customer sites.
