Job Overview
The Clinical Program Manager (CPM) is an RN primarily responsible for providing innovative leadership and management of clinical and select administrative operations. The CPM will work across disciplines to develop, support, implement and evaluate effective care strategies to improve health outcomes. They will also demonstrate the ability to provide strong and consistent direction for direct reports in planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating program operations. This position is responsible for duties that include but are not limited to the following: to maintain the program to meet all national standards and requirements of accrediting organizations including collection and reporting of data, to conduct an annual program evaluation and provide reports as designated, supporting communications activities, serving as the program representative at meetings, and establishing and maintaining partnerships to advance the program, and to maintain shared fiscal accountability with program leadership in the development of annual budgets, managing and providing variance reporting, payroll documentation, capital budget development, and revenue stream analysis.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Coordinate and participate in ongoing training courses and requirements for CHCO.

- Demonstrates knowledge of unit specific responsibilities for care delivery, organizational skills, to include prioritization and time management of patient flow.

- Develops individual goals and initiates own evaluation within department to enhance clinical practice and professional growth by assuming a leadership role in clinical education and the evaluation and communication of program goals and outcomes.

- Direct and monitor all program staff meet and maintain all program competencies as well as assist with continuing education of staff and faculty.

- Participate in long-and short-term program development and planning.
- Full supervisory authority over staff; including recruitment, disciplinary action, performance evaluations and orientation and training.

- Manager continuously strives to improve clinical, educational, research, and advocacy programs in department; sets and models high performance standards that empower staff to achieve agreed upon outcomes.

- Maintain program to meet all national standards and requirements of accrediting organizations including collection and reporting of data to appropriate national registries and databases.

- Maintain shared fiscal accountability with program leadership in the development of annual budgets, managing and providing variance reporting, payroll documentation, capital budget development, and revenue stream analysis. Understands, manages and communicates overall CHCO and departmental financial responsibilities and goals.

- Creates a worker-friendly environment that develops and realizes the full potential of the workforce.

- Provide consultative support to CHCO Marketing Department by identifying opportunities to market programs and services and implementing promotional activities within CHCO as well as on a regional and national level.

- Monitor program activities to ensure quality and accuracy of work outcomes. Coordinate evaluation and quality improvement activities, including collaboration and evaluation with other hospitals and agencies as appropriate.

- Identify tools, resources, and best practices to help improve the ongoing program operations.

- Utilizes expert evidence based practice to provide clinical expertise to the patient, family and healthcare team by coordinating developmentally appropriate care and evaluating outcomes as appropriate. Provides clinical follow up when desired outcomes are not achieved.

- Manages staff and other resources to achieve department expectations for patient care.

- Will maintain program quality in compliance with CHCO policies and procedures, standards as defined by national organizations and registries, and national accrediting bodies.

- Utilizes evidence-based practice to direct the development, revision and evaluation of policies, procedures and guidelines for practice.
- Encourages clinically-based research projects to evaluate practice outcomes.
- Mentors and evaluates staff in creating projects focused on improving clinical practice and recommending changes.

- Utilizes expert evidence-based practice to provide clinical expertise to the healthcare team in coordinating developmentally appropriate care and evaluating outcomes for infants and children with complex health care needs.
- Provides clinical follow up when desired outcomes are not achieved.
- Develops presentations and other materials for use during program-related events and meetings.
- Develops written and online tools for programmatic use including survey and evaluation instruments
- Identifies partnerships and funding opportunities and promote relationship-building with other
- organizations, agencies, and stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications
- EDUCATION - Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) & Master's Degree in Healthcare and related field preferred.
- EXPERIENCE - Three years clinical nursing experience which includes demonstrated experience in a leadership role over a clinical team.
- CERTIFICATION(S)- Registered Nurse; BLS/CPR from the American Heart Association with at least 6 months left before expiration is required upon hire.
Salary Information Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.
Annual Salary Range (Based on 40 hours worked per week): $105,046.99 to $157,570.49
