POSITION SUMMARY: The Business Optimization Specialist will be responsible for supporting process improvement and operational excellence initiatives within our organization. This role will involve assisting in identifying areas for optimization, implementing strategic solutions, and driving continuous improvement projects to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and cost savings. The Specialist will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather insights, align objectives, and implement best practices. This position requires strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to contribute to successful process optimization projects. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for process optimization and operational improvement
- Assist in conducting analysis of current business processes, identifying inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement
- Support the development and implementation of process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and cost savings
- Assist in gathering requirements, defining project scope, and contributing to project plans
- Utilize process improvement methodologies and tools to support continuous improvement initiatives
- Assist in conducting data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for optimization
- Contribute to the development and implementation of measurement systems to track project progress and measure the impact of process improvements
- Provide updates and reports to senior management on project status, risks, and opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support change management efforts and ensure successful adoption of new processes
- Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in business optimization to contribute to identifying opportunities for innovation
REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in business process optimization, process improvement, or related roles.
- Familiarity with process improvement methodologies, such as Lean Six Sigma.
EXPERIENCE:
- Exposure to conducting process analysis, identifying inefficiencies, and supporting process improvement initiatives.
- Basic proficiency in using process improvement tools and techniques, such as process mapping or root cause analysis.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and contribute to influencing stakeholders to drive change.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools and software, such as Excel or data visualization tools.
SKILLS
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and identify optimization opportunities.
- Good communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Basic project management skills, with the ability to support multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools and a proactive approach to adopting new technologies.
- Understanding of process improvement methodologies.
- Basic change management skills to support successful adoption of new processes.
- Ability to work independently.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
