About The Role:

As a Pavement Engineer, you will lead and support significant transportation pavement projects across the Southeast and Midwest to ensure exceptional quality, safety, and timely delivery. Your expertise in pavement analysis, design, and implementation will be essential in addressing complex issues. You will also be pivotal in maintaining strong client relationships, ensuring project success and profitability. By leading and mentoring your team and managing each project phase, you will enhance efficiency, improve processes, and elevate departmental standards.



  • Lead pavement analysis, design, and implementation to solve complex engineering challenges.
  • Oversee pavement testing activities, including FWD, GPR, IRI, Friction, Coring, DCP, and more.
  • Conduct engineering calculations and prepare proposals, technical reports, and invoices.
  • Maintain strong client relationships to ensure project success and profitability.
  • Manage and mentor teams, improving processes and departmental standards.
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors for MOT, utilities, and other project needs.
  • Support marketing and business development efforts.



About You:



  • You have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mining, or a related engineering field
  • You have a minimum of 6 years of professional experience
  • You have a Professional Engineer (PE) license, with ability to gain licensure in other states (as needed)
  • You have excellent computer skills including at a minimum, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint with the ability to learn commercial software applications
  • You are proficient in pavement testing and design software, such as ProVal and MEPDG
  • You have a broad understanding of transportation project delivery to include planning, design, and construction
  • You have the ability to lead 3 to 5 professionals and engineers for the successful execution of projects
