About The Role:

The Geotechnical Team Leader will take a key leadership position in managing geotechnical projects, guiding a team of engineers, and delivering reliable, top-tier solutions. Your duties will involve offering specialized technical knowledge, evaluating potential risks, and maintaining effective client partnerships. Emphasizing leadership, you'll oversee resource allocation, support growth opportunities through business development efforts, and promote ongoing learning and team development.

• Supervise and direct technical staff to successfully execute geotechnical assignments.
• Provide leadership across project execution, client development, and daily operations.
• Prepare project proposals and technical reports, or assign tasks to appropriate team members.
• Strategically assign personnel to projects to achieve financial performance targets.
• Promote integrated service offerings, contribute to business growth efforts, and cultivate strong local client connections.

About You:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Geotechnical, Mining Engineering, or a related field
• 4+ years' experience in Geotechnical Engineering or a related field
• A Professional Engineer license in Georgia or be able to obtain a Georgia PE by reciprocity
• Experience in recruiting, developing, and managing staff, or the desire to learn
• Experience and desire for business development activities

Are You Willing and Able to:

• Perform the physical demands of the position with the use of company-provide Personal Protective Equipment such as:
• Working outdoors the majority of the time in varying weather conditions
• Walking over rough, uneven terrain and standing for potentially up to 12 hours a day
• Routinely lifting and carrying 40-50lbs, (field/laboratory samples and equipment)
• Maneuvering field equipment safely, such as a loaded wheelbarrow, on uneven ground around active construction sites
