As an integral member of the Research Pharmacy team, you support clinical trials and research studies by managing investigational drugs, ensuring proper storage, and handling, and assisting with intravenous (IV) medication preparation and dispensing. You play a crucial role in the safe and effective administration of therapies within clinical research settings. Under the guidance of the Pharmacy Supervisor and Pharmacists, you will:

  • Prepare sterile products, including chemotherapy, investigational drugs, and biologics
  • Ensure smooth operations by maintaining inventory, organizing your workspace, and keeping supplies well-stocked and ordered on time
  • Take on various tasks assigned by pharmacy management to help us achieve operational excellence

Schedule: Monday-Friday; 8:00am-5:00pm

Hourly Salary Range: $32.77 - 43.22 (Union represented, step-based salary depending on years of experience)

Bargaining Unit: EX - AFSCME

Qualifications

We're seeking a strong pharmacy technician with:

  • Pharmacy Technician License in the State of California in good standing
  • Clinical Research experience and familiarity with investigational drug protocols (preferred)
  • Previous IV sterile compounding experience (required)
  • Ability to maintain drug inventory
  • Strong communication skills with an ability to work within a team
  • Detail orientated with ability to follow precise instructions
  • Strong Computer skills
