The Susan Samueli Integrative Health Institute (SSIHI) is one of the five main components of the Susan and Henry Samueli College of Health Sciences. In 2017, UCI received a $200 million naming gift - the largest donation in its history - from Susan and Henry Samueli, longtime campus supporters. This transformative gift created the Susan and Henry Samueli College of Health Sciences (COHS), the first University-based health sciences enterprise in the nation to focus on interdisciplinary integrative health. The far-reaching donation is the seventh-largest to a single public university and positions UCI as an innovative leader in health sciences. The Samueli's $200 million gift is a critical step toward building an expanded health sciences campus, integrating affiliated schools and programs of the College as well as new teaching, research and clinical spaces. Your Role on the Team Under general direction of the SSIHI Finance Director, the incumbent serves as the fiscal administrator for the Institute by providing financial management and high level analytical support and develops comprehensive fiscal recommendations that impact the operation of the Institute. Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices and organizational policies and procedures; resolves a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as practical ways. Specific responsibilities include financial analysis and reporting on all account-funds, budgeting, projections and fiscal close functions. Maintains financial stability of all endowment and award sponsors funds in compliance with University policies and procedures and CAS guidelines pertaining to contract and grant management, purchasing, travel expense reimbursement, and personnel and payroll management. Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors Position independently develops and implements accounting and data management systems to support the operation of the Institute and is relied upon to provide high-level analysis and recommendations to SSIHI leadership as well as an on-going interaction with all levels of university and agency faculty and staff. Coordinates the fiscal closing process, insuring solvency of all Institute funding sources. What It Takes to be Successful Required:
