Job Title: Japanese Bilingual Air Import and Warehouse Coordinator Location: Los Angeles, CA onsite
Work hour: 9:00 am- 6:00 pm (some flexibility required)
FLSA: Non-Exempt, direct-hire, full-time
Overview:
A global logistics company is seeking a Japanese Bilingual Air Import and Warehouse Coordinator to join their team near LAX. This position reports directly to the Manager and plays a key role in coordinating daily air import operations in collaboration with overseas offices and the internal warehouse team. This role is mainly office-based, focusing on administrative and communication duties. However, responsibilities may expand into warehouse coordination as needed, especially through communication and collaboration with warehouse staff. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable supporting operations in both office and warehouse settings.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:
Coordinate and monitor daily air import operations and ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment.
Communicate with overseas offices and internal teams via phone and email.
Prepare, review, and manage import-related documentation in compliance with regulations.
Track and update shipment status using internal systems, and provide proactive updates to customers.
Participate in warehouse inventory counts (including cold storage environments) - up to 40% of duties.
Provide accurate freight quotes and resolve potential issues or delays in coordination with the team.
Maintain accurate records of shipment movements, deliveries, fees, and system updates.
Support and strengthen client relationships through professional and timely communication.
Stay current with logistics industry trends and suggest improvements for operational efficiency.
Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
Japanese bilingual ability required (conversational level or higher).
Strong customer service and time management skills.
Proficiency in standard computer applications and tracking systems.
Ability to work overtime and occasional weekends (a few times a month).
Comfortable working in collaboration with warehouse teams and stepping into inventory coordination when needed.
