The Senior Global Trade Compliance Analyst is responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of global trade compliance. This role ensures adherence to import and export regulations, supports internal teams with compliance guidance, and mitigates risks associated with international trade.

What You Will Be Doing:



  • Oversee daily import and export activities, ensuring compliance with U.S. and international trade laws (e.g., EAR, ITAR, FDA, USDA, EU regulations).
  • Classify biotechnology products and materials for customs and export control purposes (HTS, ECCN, Schedule B, etc.).
  • Prepare, review, and maintain all required shipping and customs documentation.
  • Monitor and interpret changes in global trade regulations affecting biotechnology products.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders regarding trade compliance matters.
  • Conduct internal audits and risk assessments of trade compliance processes.
  • Develop and deliver training to staff on compliance best practices and regulatory updates.
  • Liaise with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and government agencies to resolve compliance issues.
  • Assist in managing denied party screening, embargoes, and sanctions compliance.
  • Support investigations and corrective actions related to compliance incidents.



Minimum Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics or International Business with a minimum 5 years of direct experience in import/export compliance, specifically within the biotechnology or life sciences industry, or a combination of equivalent education and relevant experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of U.S. and international trade regulations as they pertain to biotech products.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools to better interpret trade data and compliance metric
  • Understanding of global supply chain dynamics and strategies to optimize compliance practices within complex supply chains.
  • Experience with product classification, customs documentation, and export licensing.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, global environment.
  • Proficiency with trade compliance software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.



Preferred Skills & Experience:



  • Professional certifications (e.g., CUSECO, CCS, CES, or equivalent) are a plus but not required.
  • Experience supporting global supply chains in a regulated environment
  • Collaborate with IT teams to integrate compliance requirements into existing ERP systems and trade compliance software.

Below is the base pay range for this full-time position. The actual base pay will depend on several factors unique to each candidate, including one's skills, qualifications, and experience. At 10x, base pay is also just one component of the Company's total compensation package. This role is also eligible for 10x's equity grants, its comprehensive health and retirement benefit programs, and its annual bonus program or sales incentive program. During the hiring process, your 10x recruiter can share more about the Company's total compensation package.
