How you'll make an impact

  • Lead and support commissioning of substations and FACTS equipment across North America

  • Guide and coordinate Hitachi Energy and contractor teams on-site

  • Develop and manage commissioning budgets, schedules, and energization plans

  • Ensure safe, high-quality execution aligned with EH&S standards

  • Represent Hitachi Energy in customer-facing project environments

  • Interpret and communicate technical drawings and protection schemes

  • Track project progress and report to leadership

  • Identify opportunities to improve operations and reduce costs

Your background

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in HV substation or power quality commissioning (SVC, STATCOM, capacitor banks)

  • Strong knowledge of AC/DC circuits, protection systems, and substation automation

  • Experience with transformers, UPS, capacitor/reactor banks, and surge protection

  • Familiarity with thyristor, IGCT, or IGBT valves is a plus

  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

  • Ability to lead teams, communicate clearly, and travel extensively
