POSITION SUMMARY

The Mountain Snow Sports (MSS) School Supervisor will play a key leadership role in supporting instructors and ensuring daily operations run smoothly and efficiently. Working closely with management and peers, the MSS School Supervisor will lead by example, coach instructors, manage logistics, and help deliver outstanding guest experiences. This role requires strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills as well as a passion for snow sports and instruction. This is a seasonal position, with both full-time and part-time opportunities available. The hourly compensation range for this role is $23.00 - $26.00/hour.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Assign instructors to lessons based on certifications, availability, and guest needs
  • Maintain daily staffing plans and schedules using scheduling systems
  • Manage instructor check-ins and facilitate morning line-ups
  • Mentor and coach staff to maintain lesson quality and safety
  • Resolve guest service issues professionally and in a timely manner
  • Lead training sessions and clinics
  • Support new instructor onboarding and seasonal development goals
  • Deliver performance feedback
  • Ensure payroll accuracy through daily check-ins and reporting
  • Remain aware of labor and revenue goals to support departmental budget targets
  • Assist with daily setup and breakdown of indoor and outdoor learning areas
  • Teach lessons as needed (all ages and ability levels)
  • Additional duties as assigned


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Education:
  • High School Diploma, required

Experience:
  • Minimum of 1 season of snow sports instruction, required
  • Previous leadership/supervisory experience, preferred


QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS
  • PISAA-AASI Level 1 certification, required
  • Strong guest service and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite programs
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and positively influence others
  • Strong problem solving abilities


PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

This position will be required to work weekends and holidays.
