Facilitate and organize direct service staff meetings to promote coordination, training, and communication among team. Ensure that WWCS Handbook and policies and procedures are being carried out appropriately with the highest level of programming for survivors of domestic violence. Support the needs of direct service staff for the WWCS to create a trauma informed program where survivors can realize their potential for healing and growth as we work together to end domestic violence. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervision, support, train, and hire direct service staff. Supervision is a variety of activities, moderate in complexity. SCHEDULE: With the Director's approval, establish a standard workweek taking into consideration the essential duties of this position, the mission of the department, and of the Salvation Army. The work of employees is not measured solely by hours worked. Employees are expected to work the hours necessary to complete assignments on a schedule that satisfies the requirements of the job. This full-time commitment typically requires 80 hours per bi-weekly pay period. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE: Preferred: A Bachelor's Degree in human services, non-profit management, other human services related fields. Priority will be given to applicants with a combined social services and business experience. Eight years working in the human services field can substitute for an BA Degree. Four to eight years' experience within the human service field, specifically within the context of gender-based violence. Experience in social services and personnel management. Demonstrated experience in understanding the intersectionality, equity, inclusion, and diversity issues within the Portland community and within the gender-based violence community. Considered: Equivalent work and life experience connected to working with vulnerable populations and/or Trauma Survivors. Experience in Facility Management and/or Staff Management of 7-10 employees. An Associate Degree in human services related to social work, non-profit management, trauma informed care, other human services related field commensurate with the duties and responsibilities required. Four years working in the human services field can substitute for an AA Degree. PROFESSIONALISM (NOT LISTED IN PRIORITY ORDER):
ORGANIZATION SKILLS: Must maintain an organized work area, files, etc. contributing to the efficiency and accuracy of work within the assigned workday and avoiding unnecessary overtime. RESPONSIBILITY: Significant impact on the daily functioning of the emergency residential intimate partner abuse shelter. Work is done under general supervision in accordance with general procedures or policies but with latitude for exercise of independent judgment. Decisions and actions are subject to prior approval by the Executive Director or Business Manager. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelors of Human Services (preferred)
Experience
