Christman Facility Solutions is looking for an Apprentice Electrician to join our Dallas, Texas region. This position will be working under the direct supervision of a licensed Journeyman Electrician or Foreman and will help in the installations, alterations, additions and / or repair of electrical systems, conductors and associated materials and equipment within the commercial electrical industry. Full time employees should complete 2,000 hours of on-the-job training each year of apprenticeship.

What You Will Do:

As an Apprentice Electrician, your primary daily responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:



  • Have personal hand tools and tool belt/pouch (refer to the mandatory tool list)
  • Employee must have dependable transportation
  • Each new employee must be oriented in Christman Handbook and jobsite safety policies
  • All electrical employees will be required to attend First Aid/CPR with AED training
  • Assist electricians by performing tasks under the direct supervision of an Electrician Lead
  • Demonstrate safe work habits (following safety policies) and proper care and use of tools and equipment
  • Mount and strap conduit raceways and boxes as instructed
  • Assist in wire pulls with direct supervision
  • Installation of general use receptacle and basic switching devices
  • Keep all material, tools and equipment in an orderly fashion and keep the work area clean at all times.
  • Help Electrician Lead keep track of what material has been used and what needs to be ordered.
  • Must complete annual 4 hour continuing education class required by the State for license renewals.


What You Will Bring to the Team:

Required experience, knowledge, and skills for this role include:



  • High School Diploma or GED
  • State Apprentice Electrical License

  • Have the ability to interact with and develop effective working relationships with a wide range of people, including internal and external customers, in different situations.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Able to plan, schedule, and organize tasks while completing work within established deadlines.
  • Ability to follow instructions, respond to management direction, take responsibility for own actions, and keep commitments.
  • Must have excellent written and oral skills.
  • Basic computer knowledge of Microsoft 365 including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Have a passion for team-based planning and problem-solving.
  • Have a wholehearted commitment to building strong partnerships to support project goals.

Work Environment and Physical Demands: The majority of work is completed outside at the construction site and in an office trailer where the project is monitored, and daily decisions are made about construction activities. The position is often exposed to sounds and loud noises, such as construction equipment. The job requires the wearing of protective equipment when on the construction site (hardhats, safety glasses, and highly visible clothing). Temperatures and conditions may vary depending on the weather and seasons. As part of our focus on being a Great Place to Work, we want to make sure we are clear on a few more basics we expect:



  • Ability to occasionally stand, walk, sit, reach (with hands and arms), climb, balance stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Must be able to talk, hear, use hands and fingers to handle or feel, be able to use a telephone and operate a keyboard.
  • Be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
