Description The Molex Reliability Lab is seeking a talented Electrical Test Engineer to join our team in Lisle, IL and support our globally diverse, multi-functional, Engineering teams. In this role, you will be responsible for hands on electrical and environmental testing, troubleshooting, data analysis, root cause failure analysis, and evaluation of various interconnect solutions throughout the product development cycle for the different business units throughout Molex. Responsibilities * Read and challenge test plans to evaluate performance and reliability of electronic components, connector solutions, and materials under exposure to electrical and environmental conditions * Execute test plans and tasks involving various electrical and environmental tests in accordance with industry, customer, and/or internal specification * Collaborate with technicians, project managers, lab management and design engineering personnel on testing progress, issues, recommendations, etc. * Set up and perform various Electrical/Environmental tests, including, but not limited to:
* Complete product evaluation and performance analysis based on application of advanced statistical analysis on test data. * Develop, modify, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures to ensure repeatable and reproducible test methods/results. * Troubleshooting and root cause failure analysis * Work closely with lab project managers to ensure efficient and timely project deliverables to customers. Requirements * Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronic Engineering Technology * 5+ years' work experience in a laboratory environment, or related field * Proficient with electrical test equipment (i.e. oscilloscopes, power supplies, multimeters, data acquisition systems, etc.) * Experience with running tests in environmental chambers * Possess critical thinking and analytical ability to develop conclusions from complex data sets * Good interpersonal skills with ability to work with others effectively * Ability to manage time and workload balance to meet project deadlines Preferred Knowledge and Experience: * Dust and water ingress protection (IP) testing * Automation of labor-intensive tests * Knowledge of contact physics * Testing of electronic sensors and power control devices * Signal integrity testing, including s-parameter measurement and use of associated test equipment, e.g., vector network analyzer (VNA) and time domain reflectometer (TDR). * Testing electrical interconnect systems, including data analysis, and troubleshooting * Product Failure Analysis (F/A), FEMA, 8D problem solving, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), 5-Why, Is/Is Not, Pareto and Ishikawa diagraming. * UL Test experience For this role, we anticipate paying $90,000-$100,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
