Summary: The Learning and Development Manager drives the training program for Leopardo from identifying skills gaps, developing training, to evaluating effectiveness. The L&D Manager will partner with leaders, internal subject matter experts and, as needed, external sources to build a training program that supports our growing organization's mission of construction excellence.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Identify organizational learning needs in partnership with market leaders, subject matter experts, and the People & Culture team
  • Partner with stakeholders and subject matter experts to design and deliver training programs focused on Operations, Technical skills, and Systems-related topics
  • Develop training courses, curriculum and/or materials to bridge skills gaps and facilitate internal growth
  • Create, implement, and facilitate dynamic and engaging classroom and virtual training experiences tailored to the specific demands of the construction industry
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive curricula, facilitator guides, and supporting materials to ensure effective training delivery
  • Work cross-functionally with internal teams to promote the adoption of technology and enhance knowledge management practices
  • Implement processes for learner management and track employee participation
  • Facilitate Lunch & Learn program
  • Lead special initiatives related to learning and development such as training for new systems, upskilling for emerging technologies, or education regarding new regulations
  • Manage annual compliance training (sexual harassment prevention, bystander intervention, etc.)
  • Coordinate with People & Culture team on onboarding and compliance training for new hires
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and modify programs to continuously improve learning outcomes
  • Recommend learning tools, guest trainers, or additional resources as necessary
  • Maintain a pulse on external industry training needs
Education / Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Instructional Design, Learning and Development, Training and Development or related field highly preferred
  • 7+ years of professional experience in Learning and Development
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships with various stakeholders
  • Ability to travel to office and jobsite locations
  • Experience in the construction industry or a related field (such as architecture or engineering) is a plus

Leopardo considers many factors when determining actual salary including experience, education, unique skillsets, abilities, market, geography and business needs. Target base salary range: $100-115k. This position is eligible for annual discretionary bonus and vehicle allowance. Leopardo does not discriminate based on any protected category with respect to wages.
