What you'll do:

As the HR Coordinator for Strobes-R-Us (A Shyft Brand) based in Fort Myers, FL, you will be accountable for supporting HR office with HR administration responsibilities. You will be a cornerstone of the HR team, providing invaluable support, knowledge, and expertise.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Supports the Human Resources team in recruiting and onboarding for hourly positions, which includes screening, scheduling interviews, scheduling pre-employment screenings, onboarding, orientation and HRIS data entry
  • Assists with and conducts orientation for new hires, including completing the new hire paperwork such as tax documents, emergency contact information, and the I-9 form with appropriate documentation.
  • Set up and maintain personnel files (active and terminations)
  • Compile and prepare various reports such as attendance reports, KPI reporting, monthly metrics presentations, and other reports as needed, utilizing Excel spreadsheets.
  • Run disciplinary action and review, post disciplinary action (coaching, warning, final warning, and termination), and make corrections to attendance points as needed.

What you need to be successful:

  • HS Diploma or GED required (Associate Degree in HR or Business preferred)
  • 1-2 years working in a support role on a Human Resources Team.
  • Demonstrated commitment to unwavering integrity, discretion, and proficiency in operating within highly confidential contexts.
  • Demonstrated expertise in fostering positive employee relations, effectively addressing workplace conflicts, and promoting a collaborative work environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office products. Experience with ADP and UKG systems is helpful.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.
