Consulting Services Group (CSG) is seeking a dedicated, highly skilled systems administrator to work in dynamic environment and provide leadership to Teammates. This is a hands-on position that requires a self-motivated and organized individual to communicate and manage medium and larger projects across multiple platforms and differing environments.

Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Works on assignments requiring considerable judgment and initiative. Develop solutions to routine technical problems of limited scope, creating detailed instruction for others.
• Engineers and configures architectures for deployment; diagnose and resolve technical issues on deployed platforms.
• Architect and manage Microsoft Entra, Active Directory and other deployed identity providers.
• Architect and manage Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud Platform as deployed.
• Proficiency with scripting and automation tools such as Powershell, Python. Ansible, Teraform, Service Now, etc..
• Designs deploy and operate systems architectures with a security-first mindset, specifically prevention, identification of and mitigation.
• Advises leadership on hardware, software and technology trends and integration.
• Tracks and maintains lifecycle requirements, recommends replacements, upgrades, or retiring of hardware/software.
• Performs scans, maintenance, and patching on a routine basis to ensure optimal system performance, security and compliance.
• Familiarity with VMware, Jira as well as network routing and switching preferred.
• Provides technical support to program employees for complex system issues or problems as well as mentor and cultivate fellow staff members.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Must be willing to submit for and obtain DOD/Secret clearance at minimum
• Must have 7-10 years of systems engineer / administrator experience with "Job Description" and "Qualifications" listed herein; range depends on completed education and/or certifications.
• Experience - Application of technical standards, principles and theories. Considered an emerging authority, who applies extensive technical expertise.
• Documentation -Ability to draft requirements documents, correspondence, and procedures in accordance with policies.
• Procedures and Processes - Ability to provide explanations of complex technical procedures and processes clearly and accurately to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Writing - Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience.
• Must have proficiency with scripting and automation tools such as Powershell, Python. Ansible, Teraform, Service Now, etc.
• Must have familiarity with VMware

Education:

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in related field (or equivalent).
• Certification(s) desired include: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud, Microsoft 365 or security related certification.
• Jira as well as network routing and switching experience preferred

Other:

Work:

• Work is typically performed in an office and/or data center environment, requiring computer terminals and standard office equipment to accomplish work objectives. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• This is a full-time position working normal workday hours, Monday to Friday, with weekends and holidays off.

Travel:

Job location: Onsite in Herndon, Virginia. Remote telework is not available.
