Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain general laboratory solutions
• Support lab manager in maintaining stocks of consumable items and chemicals
• Collection and storage of chemical and medical waste
• Lab equipment decontamination
• Participate in spill response and other environmental duties if required
• Organize meetings and some travel arrangements
• Help with lab inventory, organization and waste disposal
• Be a steward of resources in regard to inventory, time management, and meeting productivity standards

Expectations and Competencies for Success

• No travel is required, must be able to work in the Paramus, NJ facility
• Be responsible for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the equipment
• Work with faculty to maintain and upgrade/replace laboratory equipment and supplies and support infrastructure as necessary
• Assist with developing written laboratory practices, protocols and lab manuals
• Manage inventory of consumables (calibration gases, test samples, pressure and temperature sensors, cabling, etc....)
