The Role:

The Electrical Engineer will be joining a cross-functional team of electrical, software, and mechanical engineers working on our next generation for cryogenic vacuum pumps and chillers. The Electrical Engineer will be able to demonstrate a methodical and detailed approach to electronics development.

Main Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following key areas:



  • Participate in development of new products and/or improvement of existing products for cost reductions, warranty improvements, and manufacturability.
  • Create specifications and electrical design schematics for electrical development in Cryogenic system, subsystems, and components.
  • Specify and select commercial ("off the shelf") electronics subsystems, boards, and components that will combine into product design.
  • Conduct schematic, layout, DFMEA and Risk assessment review.
  • Participate with technicians and lab experimental engineers to perform design verification testing.
  • Participate in system qualification testing with internal resources and outside agencies to ensure compliance.
  • Participate in development and review of test plan for Reliability demonstration, HALT/HASS and Production test.


  • Develop the documentation during the development and transfer to manufacturing (schematics, diagrams, BOM, test procedures, etc



It goes without saying that you'll:




  • Have a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related discipline with minimum of 3+ years of industrial experience
  • Have experience with electrical schematic capture, PCB design, wiring diagrams, parts database structures, BOM structures, and engineering change management.
  • Have a proactive, self-motivated approach to solving problems
  • Have the ability to work closely with Software and SQA team members as well as small teams to complete tasks
  • Have strong communication skills to communicate Technical Information to a broad range of audience including Cross-Functional Leadership Team
  • Have a track record of having driven work assignments to completion, with accuracy and timeliness
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Have a demonstrated ability to work in cross-functional team

It's a bonus if you:



  • Have system level Electrical design experience, including circuit breaker, VFD and control selection.
  • Have experience with communication protocols and exposure on microcontroller/microprocessor (ARM, DSP) & FPGA based design, memory and high-speed interfaces.
  • Have knowledge of Fail-safe system, Product electrical safety (shock & fire hazard) & functional safety.
  • Have experience designing for regulatory compliance of UL, CE, SEMI, and other global standards.
  • Have experience with design packages such as Altium Designer
