Business Analyst - Time Tracking, Absence and Payroll

This Position reports to:

HR Integration Manager

ABB is searching for a Business Analyst with expertise in Time Tracking, Absence and Payroll (specifically in Workday + UKG/Kronos) to join as a core member of the HRIT team, a part of US Functional Services. This role will deliver Human Resources (HR) service assistance to the HR community, business managers and employees. The Business Analyst will process complex and escalated HR requests related to Time Tracking, Absence and Payroll technologies. In this role there is a deep partnership with Information Systems (IS), business partners, vendors, business leaders and other stakeholders, working collaboratively to effectively improve and maintain the HCM, Time Tracking and Payroll system for operational efficiency. Additional responsibilities include creating detailedrequirementspecifications, partner with key stakeholders, and support the entiresystemdevelopment life-cycle, researchsystemfailures, perform root cause analyses, and report back to management and business leaders. This individual will also support employees, managers and HR business partners on self-service functionality with a focus on troubleshooting, corrective action implementation, and providing centralized administrator system support.

This role is open to remote (based in the US) or Hybrid candidates based in the Cary, NC area (#LI-Hybrid).

Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Supporting and optimizing the design, development and performance of key HR business data systems and processes

  • Ensuring functionality of new systems to meet business and compliance requirements

  • Maintaining system compliance with regulatory requirements, including General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), SOX and other control narratives and matrices

  • Building strong working relationships with various cross-functional groups throughout Human Resources to deliver exceptional customer service experience by responding accurately and timely to customer requests

  • Acting as subject matter expert in UKG Pro, Workday Time Tracking, Workday Absence and Workday Payroll.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree with eight years of relevant work experience

  • Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications

  • Experience in Workday Payroll, Time Tracking, Absence and HCM core areas, Kronos/UGKPro

  • Deep Understanding of payroll processes and data flows between HR, Benefits, Stock, Compensation and Payroll

  • Experience working with functional HR teams in the development and implementation of technical solutions that improve efficiencies and performance

  • Able to present and propose current and/or new system functionality to the business users for review.Able to work with business users to structure training relative to said functionality and with respect to their Divisional and Functional Business process

  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
