Description
The Sales and Market Development Manager for Aurorium's Enhance Business Unit will be responsible for driving sales growth and market expansion across key sectors including Electronics, Coatings, Sizing, Paints & Inks, and Oil, Water and Gas. This role will focus on executing a value-based sales strategy, identifying new business opportunities, and fostering strong customer relationships. The individual will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align sales initiatives with business objectives and deliver high-quality solutions to customers.

Job Details

Role Specific Responsibilities:
  • Manage a territory of Customer Accounts linked to the Enhance Business Unit
  • Drive sales growth across the Enhance Business Unit's target markets
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities and strategic partnerships
  • Execute value-based sales strategies to demonstrate Aurorium's differentiated value proposition
  • Define and maintain a comprehensive territory plan for the region, outlining key market segments, growth opportunities, and strategic priorities.
  • Develop and maintain detailed account plans for key accounts within the region to drive customer engagement, growth, and retention.
  • Consistently deliver on monthly and quarterly AOP (Annual Operating Plan) revenue and profitability targets
  • Identify growth areas for the assigned product areas on an on-going basis
  • Work closely with customers to manage developmental projects from initial formulation development through to commercial launch
  • Build and maintain a healthy project pipeline
  • Effectively communicate all customer interactions in a timely manner through the company CRM system
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, R&D, and operations to deliver customer-centric solutions
  • Support the negotiation and renewal of customer contract

  • Complies with company Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures, and arrangements
  • Reports all Health, Safety and Environmental accidents, incidents and near misses promptly
  • Acts in a safe and responsible manner at all times

  • Participates in problem-solving
  • Takes responsibility and ownership for own learning and development in the spirit of continuous improvement of both self and the business
  • Assists in the training, mentoring, and assessment of other team members

Qualifications/Desired Skills

Education and Qualifications:
  • University level business or technical degree, (major in Chemistry is preferred)

Experience:
  • 3+ years of sales experience, selling to the industrial markets
  • Knowledge and history of selling in a variety of industrial markets within the Americas
  • Proven track record of developing sales plans and following up on the execution to achieve growth goals

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ready to travel extensively (70%) throughout the Americas
  • Knowledge and understanding of key markets
  • Broad understanding of steps needed to communicate a strong value proposition
  • Strong prospecting skills
  • Ability to prospect for new accounts and new growth opportunities
  • Strong sales negotiation skills
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships with external and internal customers
  • Ability to develop relationships at multiple levels within an organization and to multiple functions
  • Experience with open ended questioning skills
  • Able to communicate effectively, both spoken and written
  • Proactively utilize the CRM system (Salesforce) to advance sales and communicate efficiently with all stakeholders
  • Excellent organizational skills and analytical capabilities
  • Bias for action and results oriented
  • Must be a self-starter and able to operate with limited supervision
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills including formal presentation skills before both small and large groups
  • Demonstrated skills in understanding customer needs
  • Very good at interpersonal skills
  • Experience in a global organization
