Program Coordinator

Pay:

• Annual salary of $48,000

As a Program Coordinator in Housing Services, you will develop and update housing program guidelines and procedures, inform staff of any changes in relevant housing, tenant and landlord laws, rules or policies and adapt program procedures accordingly. You will provide leadership to improve the program/services so that they are more fluid among all housing programs and explore and pursue new opportunities for program expansion.

As a Program Coordinator in Housing Services, you will:

• Supervise and support the housing services staff and provide them with work direction and coaching
• Recruit and preserve positive relationships with program property owners, work to negotiate leases and to resolve any difficulties experienced during tenancy
• Meet with all families and individuals to explain the program and subsidy guidelines and discuss housing preference and options
• Provide guidance and education to the family and individuals throughout the lease and move-in process and during tenancy
• Speak and network with community organizations and explore opportunities for partnership in the community

Program Coordinator in Housing Services Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Four years of experience
• A valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, access to reliable transportation and a Motor Vehicle Check
• Successfully meet the requirements of a background check
• Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office, with the ability to learn additional computer skills/programs as necessary
• Good judgment, discretion, and initiative
• Able to promote a positive and supportive atmosphere
• Must complete Housing department trainings (including Housing Inspections)

Additional Housing Program Coordinator Qualifications:

• Two years of supervisory experience preferred
