Job Description: Amherst College invites applications for the Career Advisor position. The Career Advisor is a full-time, year-round position, starting at $65,000 per year, commensurate with experience. The career advisor will be responsible for providing a broad range of career development guidance, including career advising through individual appointments and group sessions, career-related workshops and events, and digital engagement. The advisor's primary focus will be providing quality advising and programming for first-years and sophomores as they begin the process of considering their career options. Under the leadership of the Program Director for Early Career Programs, this role will also deliver career education focused on student preparation for internships, including internship searching guidance, application support, resume/document reviews, and interview preparation. This individual will also co-train and supervise the Loeb Center's Peer Career Advisors (PCAs). This role serves as the primary point of contact for students in the Meiklejohn Fellows Program, ensuring that the college's first-generation and/or low-income student population are well supported with access to internship opportunities in their first and second year.
