What we need: The Associate Director of Stop Loss Underwriting will be responsible for the overall management of the Special Risk market segment. The leader will be required to inspire, motivate, and direct a team of four underwriters to profitably grow and retain accounts. In scope of the position is Stop Loss representation within Underwriting Leadership meetings and projects in support of divisional goals. The leader will also act as an interdepartmental and cross-functional liaison in alignment with strategic vision and BCBSMA organizational objectives. Your day to day: In this role, you will create and oversee the Stop Loss corporate strategy which includes book of business and business exception management to attain profitable growth. You'll manage team to ensure timely turnaround times, deadlines are met with minimum increases based on goals, while also fostering an environment that rewards creativity and encourages thoughtful risk taking. This job is also eligible for variable pay.
